Welcome Tom - our new Model Y Long Range

The Model Y joined our fleet quickly and spontaneously. We fell in love with the “cherry red” color at first sight - so it was only a matter of time before we would also purchase a Model Y with this configuration. On September 18th 2024 the time had finally come: we were able to pick up Tom at Tesla in Bassersdorf!

Even after numerous Tesla purchases in recent years, every moment of taking delivery of a vehicle is something very special: full of joy and excitement. And the smell of a new car... simply incomparable!

Tom was already on the road in the first few days: from Lucerne to eastern Switzerland on to Glarus and many trips through the streets of Zurich. But on September 22nd 2024 bad luck struck - a puncture in the rear left tire. Alina was driving on the highway near Lachen (SZ) when she probably drove over a screw. Fortunately, the next exit was just around the corner and Tom was able to be taken safely to a parking spot. TCS - our best insurance company - was on site within 40 minutes and repaired the bike. We then went straight to Euromaster in Zurich for new tires. An exciting start with less than 300 km on the odometer!

With the new tires and a Dreamcase in the trunk Tom set off on an exciting journey on September 25th 2024: off to Morocco! The route led via Barcelona, Malaga and Marbella to Algeciras, where the ferry to Ceuta and thus to the African continent was waiting. After crossing the border the journey continued directly to the first Supercharger in Tangier.

In Morocco, all Tesla Superchargers are free - electricity is provided free of charge to anyone and everyone.
